Jellyneo Forums
This page needs some cleaning up to be presentable. This page has the category "Other Sites" but does not provide a link to the site. This needs to be rectified. |

The Jellyneo Forums is a forum (obviously) where users chat to discuss various topics, most notably Neopets. It is a section of Jellyneo, a Neopets help site.
The site's main discussion area is the Shoutbox, where hilarious antics ensue. The forum has many ongoing stories/roleplays, including Bucketman, Random Roleplay, which also has its own page, and Jellyneo Altador Cup Vi, which, once again, has it's own page. There is also a roleplay section and a games section. It has an unofficial weekly newspaper, The Jellyneopian Times, and a shop called the Joodle Mart which hopefully will be returning to the site soon.
Jellyneo Forums provides examples of the following tropes:
- The Archer: Archeress *gasp* fits under this trope.
- Dawn is one as well.
- Dodger occasionally is one.
- Dawn is one as well.
- Ax Crazy: Shion.
- Fang/Mustard is like this if he's in a bad mood.
- The Backwards R: JP's graphic stand, Κθθ Ι GЯДРНЇ Сζ. Possibly others, too.
- Berserk Button: Everyone has one. Everyone.
- Big Bad: Omnious.
- Blessed Are the Cheesemakers: Formerly Joey, to quite an extreme. He used to go by "Joey the Cheese King", had a cheese-themed set, and constantly mentioned cheese. This died down later on, however.
- Bucket Helmet: Bucketman wears a bucket on his head. He is called Bucketman, after all.
- Big Word Shout: TAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!
- There is also MOOFIN!!!!! in some cases.
- Billionaire Playboy: Red used to be one, before the Joodle Mart closed.
- Calvin Ball: Plenty of wacky games would fit in this trope. Super Shoutbox Brawl is an example that is sometimes played on the shoutbox. There are pretty much no rules on what you can and can't do and winning is near impossible since there are no definitions on how to win.
- Catgirl: Pingu, the resident nekomimi, is a prime example. Kohaku/Hime can also be like this as well.
- Chainsaw Good: Mew and her lovely chainsaw.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Most users.
- Conspiracy Theorist: Raven, to the point where she even rants about the threat of Tandrak Shaye secretly sabotaging the Cup. Hardly anyone listens, though.
- Creepy Twins: Shion and Pingu.
- Hime and Yuzuki might count, except they're Non-Identical Twins.
- Cute and Psycho: Shion, Rayzah...Most JNF girls when provoked. But mostly Shion.
- Death Is Cheap: Jp in Defenders of Jellyneopia, and Zoroark. Silents technically, as he just reforms in the Underworld.
- Eldritch Abomination: The Destroyer's Destroyer of Worlds form. May also apply to Omnious.
- Empathic Weapon: Shion's romantic cleaver.
- Evil Laugh: Everyone has one. EVERYONE.
- Evil Uncle: JohnPaul is the evil uncle of Pingu, Steph, and Tara. Come on, he whips his children.
- Fan Boy: JNF has a few of these.
- Joey is a Mecha fanboy.
- Shadow is a fanboy of almost everything, including Meepits and all of the staffers
- Plushie is a fanboy for Kirby, Pokémon, and many things Nintendo. Yet he craves more obscure video games.
- Silents is this for Vocaloid, The Pendragon Adventure, Warrior Cats, and Dragon Ball.
- Fan Girl: JNF has several fangirls.
- Shion, as you can probably tell by the nickname is a Higurashi no Naku Koro ni fangirl. She also likes Pokémon and other anime, such as Madoka Magica.
- Pingu is a fangirl of Sci and anime.
- Coraline is obviously a fangirl of Coraline and pretty much everything no one on the site has heard of.
- Mew is an Axis Powers Hetalia and Touhou fangirl.
- Rayzah is a Vocaloid and Yume Nikki fangirl.
- Kohaku/Hime is a fangirl of Bleach and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. Don't forget Wish and Kobato. along, because she's a fan of CLAMP works.
- Raven is a fangirl of The Pendragon Adventure, Warrior Cats, and Neopets characters Layton Vickles and Jair Tollet. Do not, however, mistake her for a Shaye fangirl.
- FrostPhoenyx is a fangirl of several animes and videogames, including Kingdom Hearts, Ace Attorney, and Bleach.
- Ruko Yokune is a huge fangirl of Derlyn Fonnet.
- Five-Man Band: The Axis of Awesome: Aly, Kass, Chris, Narf and Megan. Throw in Jake if he qualifies.
- Similarly, JohnPaul, Tara, Clouds, Pingu, and Dodger, the top contributors of the Jellyneopian Times.
- Fluffy the Terrible: Going by Pingu's nickname of Fluffy, Steven fits under this trope.
- Freudian Trio: Clouds, Raven and Moogi, three of the main posters on the Jellyneo Altador Cup Roleplay are now one.
- When Clouds became a moderator, Ruko more or less took her place.
- Fusion Dance: Silents has apparently learned how to do this. He even has the formula for figuring out who the Fusion will take after and how powerful it is.
- Girl with Psycho Weapon: Shion and her taser. Guess what series she's obsessed with.
- Now, she has a Romantic Cleaver.
- Which actually originated from Scribblenauts
- Mew is now having fun with a chainsaw.
- Now, she has a Romantic Cleaver.
- A God Am I: Slightly justified, as on Mount Jellyneo, most people are gods; but in most other areas they are normal people.
- This may also apply to Omnious, though not justified.
- God Modders: Godmodding wars are common on the Shoutbox. They can take many forms but they are mostly meant for fun, not to be mean.
- Grammar Nazi: The Grammar Police.
- Harmless Villain: Doom, who was a big part of the site in the early years. He was there to tell some interesting stories and harass the mods a little bit.
- Hates Being Touched: Ruby and hugs.
- Heroic Sociopath / Comedic Sociopath: Fang tends to be this whenever he's in a bad mood.
- Heroic Wannabe: Mew is a prime example.
- The High Queen: Shion tried to be one. It didn't work so well since no one listened to her besides Pingu and Pinkie. Then she got a nickname change and decided to be an Ax Crazy instead. She's having more fun with it.
- Hilarity Ensues: Shoutbox discussions.
- Hyperspace Arsenal: Fang's arsenal of weapons, inspired by his Neopets OCs.
- Idiot Hero: Mew, and a few other users can be this.
- I Have Many Names: Back in the days when JNF had a Joodle Mart, one sought after item was the Jumbleberry Potion, which allowed users to change their names at will. Until the Joodle Mart was closed for the forum upgrade, it became very hard to keep track of people's names, since they changed so much.
- However, the only way to change your name after the upgrade is to use the one free change Active Members get every 180 days. This made it much easier to remember who was who.
- Immortality: The reason that The Guests showed up was to get immortality from Omnious.
- Incredibly Lame Pun: Weepit is known as Bad Pun Girl, and Clouds is famous for cracking horrible jokes. Hey guys, what kind of martial arts do rabbits do? Carroty!
- Raven's popular Bad Pun thread was created for this reason.
- Insistent Terminology: Raven would like to remind you that she is not a Shaye fangirl, she is a Shaye conspiracy theorist.
- Love Dodecahedron: Happens more often than it should.
- Massive-Numbered Siblings: Moogi, who has seven children hiding in her bedroom. (Well, she does need to protect them from Grandpa JP...)
- Multigenerational Household: The JN Family Tree. According to its soap opera, Pira and Blah live with their children Pingu, Steph, and Tara, and their grandchildren Kass, Nynex, and Noileh.
- Multinational Team: We even have members hailing from Antarctica... apparently. Pretty much no one puts their real location under "location".
- Name's the Same: Pingu, whose name has no relation to the clay penguin.
- The Nicknamer: Shion:
- She calls Totoro "Director"
- JP is "Alphabet Soup"
- Clouds is "Professor"
- Vince is "Corn"
- Kirby is "Oatmeal"
- She calls Pingu, who is apparently her twin, Pinguion.
- Ducky is now Hydrogen.
- Omnicidal Maniac: Omnious and The Destroyer.
- Oops, I Forgot I Was Married: Dawn and her marriage to JP, although she was never informed in the first place.
- Opposite Day: April Fools' Day circa 2003-2005, the admins and moderators pulled off making everyone believe a hacker had taken over JN and reversed user rankings (eg. everyone was admin while the real admins were banned), turning the whole place into a riot of fun with these new powers. However, it was just a simple colour change of member groups, and the members only saw a fake Admin Control Panel to work with, rendering the whole fake admin priority useless until April 2nd rolled around. To the staff the whole site turned into a Maximum Fun Chamber.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Zoroark stole a Snarkian Guard Uniform, and Archeress mistakes him for a Snarkian. Snarkians are Rainbow Blumaroos.
- The Pen Is Mightier: Dodger's JNT editor's pen serves as a weapon with many useful and/or deadly attachments.
- Physical God: A pretty good amount of people. This is only in effect when on Mt. Jellyneo or in The Underworld, however.
- Please Select New Temporary Shoutbox Name: After a while with the Temporary Shoutbox, Yoshi decided to hold a poll to pick a new name for a change of pace. It eventually became the Talkthread, and people complained until it got changed to the ⑨box. This resulted in more people complaining, when it finally got changed back to the Temporary Shoutbox.
- Psycho Electro: This trope practically IS Shion.
- Quirky Household: Again, the JN Family Tree.
- Reality Warper: The Destroyer and Omnious. Also, The Guests can.
- Recycled in Space: Jellyneo Doctor Who.
- Ridiculous Procrastinator: Clouds to the extreme.
- To the point where she ran a Procrastination Club.
- That never went anywhere due to procrastination.
- That was revived again, but again went nowhere due to procrastination
- That never went anywhere due to procrastination.
- To the point where she ran a Procrastination Club.
- Rule of Cool: A good amount of Steven's antics fall under this.
- Rule of Funny: Most of the happenings in the Shoutbox.
- Separated at Birth: Pingu and Shion.
- From the looks of it, Ruko and Vonde Cayle were separated from birth, as they are twins.
- Shock and Awe: Silents and Shion
- Spell My Name with an "S": The name 'Shay' on the forums is usually used as a nickname for the member Shaymin (or Totoro). However, Shaye (with a silent 'e') is the last name of a Yooyuball player. Accidentally spell Shay's name with an 'e', and you'll get a Raven conspiracy theory lecture.
- Silents is constantly called Silent.
- Stalker with a Crush: Pingu to Sci, as well as Plushie to Kohaku/Hime.
- Summon Magic: Silents has this.
- Tangled Family Tree: The JN Family Tree. Cue exploding heads.
- Teleport Spam: Silents, but only sometimes.
- Unstoppable Rage: You don't want to mess with these people. This will almost always be the result.
- Can sometimes turn into Tranquil Fury, but the above is much more frequent.
- Unwanted Harem: JohnPaul has several girls pining for him, although he won't admit it and the girls won't admit it either. These girls include - Erm, forget it.
- Valley Girl: Clouds.
- More specifically, her Random Roleplay character "Lithuania".
- Vaporware: JellyNeoQuest. ...yeah...
- "The Vickles-Shaye Battles" also qualifies as this. Justified since Raven's technically finished it, but the series keeps getting turned down.
- What Do You Mean It's Not Awesome?: Steven's Rule of Cool-based antics.
- Yandere: Pingu can be scary sometimes.
