Hiyokoi
Nishiyama Hiyori (140cm, 4'7 ft at the start of the manga) has just entered high school after recovering from an accident the day before her entrance ceremony.
But, being as shy as she is, can barely introduce herself to the class. Once she finally works up to courage to do so, she is interrupted by Hirose Yuushin (190cm, 6'2 ft). It all goes downhill from there.
Hiyokoi is a shoujo manga by Yukimaru Moe that started in 2009. An OVA was produced in July 2010 as a twenty - two minute long film.
Tropes used in Hiyokoi include:
- Beta Couple: Ristuka and Kou
- Cannot Spit It Out: Hiyori is too shy to confess her feelings towards Yuushin.
- Chick Magnet: Yuushin
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Reina, until she decides to let Hiyori confess to Yuushin.
- Hey, It's That Guy!: A rare case of animation approaching this trope, not just Hey, It's That Voice!. Ritsuko looks like Miku Hatsune (except for different hair colour) and is voiced by Saki Fujita, Miku's voice. The original manga, written in 2009 when Miku was already well known, has Ritsuko as her look-alike and even an in-joke about performers. Maybe the animation studio saw the similarity and hired Miku's seiyuu for the adaptation?
- Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Yuushin and Hiyori
- Keet: Yuushin
- Interrupted Declaration of Love
- Ill Girl: Hiyori
- Nice Guy: Yuushin
- Opposites Attract: Yuushin and Hiyori
- Shrinking Violet: Hiyori
- Single Woman Seeks Good Man
- The Big Damn Kiss: Ristuka and Kou
- The Quiet One: Hiyori
- Unlucky Childhood Friend: Kisaki towards Yuushin
- Will They or Won't They?: Yuushin and Hiyori. They do.
