HCBailly/YMMV
- Non Sequitur Scene: At the end of his third blog video, after signing off, he leaned his face right into the camera for no reason. However, this is a Brick Joke as the next video starts with him in the same position, so for months it seemed like a BLAM.
- At the end of a Final Fantasy XIII video, he started talking while giving special audio effects to his voice.
- Did Not Do the Research: There are times where he messes up when he gives information; however he zig-zags this because he almost always corrects himself in a later video. (oftentimes the next one)
- Early Installment Weirdness: HC got more animated and stopped cutting to clips as time went on.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: His brother, JB, occasionally records with him for certain games. The comments section prove that he is quite popular.
- Informed Flaw: Detractors claim that Mr. Bailly suffers from Small Name, Big Ego... which is a trait present in exactly zero of his videos unless done as a joke. Perhaps in personal dealings with him in the comments, but even then more often or not they were the ones causing problems in the first place.
- He does have a naturally smug-sounding voice, but that's hardly his fault.
- Retsupurae characterizes him as being fat and sort of a Basement Dweller... out of nowhere.
- Seinfeld Is Unfunny: His earlier Let's Play videos are a little more informative and they can come off as sounding like he's not really having much fun as he is now. He doesn't make fun of the games as much or deliver a couple Take That Us or Take That lines, occasionally yelling "GAAAAAME!".
- However; some of them actually cut to video clips that are relevant more. As funny as they could be, he did this much less because of how often they detracted from the flow.
- Squick: During one of the early Chapter 5 videos of his Dragon Quest IV series, he tries to sound like Herbert.
