Growing Up Creepie/Recap/S1/E04/Frogenstein
During the Middlington Middle School, Dr. Pappas was teaching his students on how to dissect a frog, was the only one to set hers free, but trouble arise when it turns out that she must do it, unless the teacher will give her a failing grade.
Creepie then tells Budge in the school yard that, she refuses to harm an innocent creature, as though the day can't get any worst, the frog hopped into the street and was run over by a passing bus. She then took the dead frog home, gone to her Dad's laboratory, and with Budge's aid, resurrect the dead frog. Meanwhile, Caroleena went out to jog around town, just to loose weight and to be healthy.
Unfortunately, the frog escape Dweezwold Mansion and created an all black out in Middlington Town, just one business, traffic lights, home, and movie theater at a time. Getting back to the exercising praying mantis, she trying her hardest to not break her healthy dieting and eat the insects that gotten trap in the bug traps, lurking in the garbage, and flying around the moth zappers (At this point, Caroleena is beginning to get really hungry).
The undead frog then made it's way back to Dweezwold Mansion, where it met it's end as Caroleena's dinner. When the two friends, Budge and Creepie, returned, they didn't find the frog.
The next day, it turns out that Creepie was able to improvise by making a frog doll and Dr. Pappas advises her to "Next time, stick to the program."
- Artificial Frog: When the frog came back from the dead.
- Character Title: Frogenstein
- Though the characters don't call him by that.
- Big Blackout: Frogenstein caused this wherever he hops around town.
- Even making a drive thru movie make wonky sounds, before the screen black out.
- Chatty Hairdresser: Middlington Town has a hair salon, were the hairdressers are talking with the clients.
- Dead Person Conversation: Invoke by Dr. Pappas, stating that
"Unless your frog is communicating to us from the great beyond, I suspect that it lives and breathes."
- Discretion Shots: Several. Chris-Alice and Budge disecting their frog, the camera panning away before the bus hits Creepie's frog, and Caroleena attacking and eating Frogenstein.
- Diet Episode: The whole episode is this to Caroleena Creechur, since she went out exercising to lose weight and be healthy.
- Free the Frog: Creepie upon seeing an open window in the classroom, frees her frog. When class let out, she stated that she doesn't want to kill a "defenseless creature"...But she must do something about the possibility of Dr. Pappas failing her.
- Hunger Hyperbole: When Mrs. Creechur returned home from her exercise routine she made this quip:
"I'm so hunger that I could eat...(pauses and sees Frogenstein)...A frog."
- Imagine Spot: Caroleena gotten so hungry while exercising, she imagined how tasty the bugs that got zapped by the moth lights, buzzing around the garbage bins, and gotten caught by the fly ribbons are, even making bug pies and bug leaf sandwiches.
- Look Both Ways: The frog hops into the street and was killed by a passing school bus in a Discretion Shot way.
- Mad Scientist Laboratory: It's reveal that Vinnie likes to "tinker around", since he has a laboratory located in the Dweezewold Mansion's attic that would make Dr. Frankenstein proud.
- Never Say "Die": Creepie tells Budge, "Who says it's a goner?" When she has a plan to bring the roadkilled frog back.
- Our Zombies Are Different: Creepie and Budge took the dead frog's remains and pulled a Frankenstein's Monster out of it.
- Pun-Based Title: Based on Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein."
- Screaming Women: In universe. The hair dresser and her clients ran out of the business screaming, when they saw the creepy frog and a blackout occurred in the hair salon.
Shock and Awe: After rising back from the dead, Frogenstein went around town absorbing all the electrical power from the homes, churches, and businesses he passes by.
- Shout-Out: The Drive-in theater showed some clips of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.
- Frankenstein, basically the whole episode is one huge reference to this, especially Creepie's Dad's laboratory.
- Showdown At High Noon: Caroleena and Frogenstein both stood at the opposite ends of the street, their poses are as though they are in a showdown, staring at each other, and a tumbleweed rolled between them and into the street.
- Sound-Only Death: We don't see the frog get run over by the bus, but both Budge, Creepie, and the audience can hear the sounds as plain as day.
- Take a Third Option: Creepie was forced to make a frog doll to submit to school the next day.
- Dr. Pappas advises her to please stick to the schedule next time.
- Undead: He's an undead frog.
