Growing Up Creepie/Recap/S1/E03/The Scared Twitch Project
It all began as a simple field trip to the woods, with Dr.Pappas leading the way. While the kids are trailing behind, Chris-Alice relates to her friends the legend of Bugfoot, a gigantic cryptid mud wasp that grew to be enormous (Also, large enough to consume dinosaurs, which added to their extinction). Eventually, the kids separate from Dr. Pappas to find Bugfoot or more importantly, to Carla and Melanie, a better reception.
They eventually got lost in the woods, until night fell, and the kids voted to stay at the abandoned log cabin, meanwhile, it was only then that Dr.Pappas realizes that his students are gone and went to retrace his steps to find them. Back to the cabin residents, they were asleep, suddenly there were footfalls, they awoke and conclude its' Bugfoot, Turns out it was just Budge, who had repaired the plumbing, moments later the footfalls return (which is strange since Budge came inside). Chris-Alice orders Budge to quickly grab the camera, which he promptly does and turns on the record button. The door handle jiggles and the kids screams, Bugfoot came inside, quickly Creepie grabs the bucket of water, walks over, and threw the water at it, revealing that the monster was actually Dr. Pappas. The teacher was relieved that the kids are safe and sound, due to Creepie fixing Chris-Alice's compass, they can all go back to camp. The next day as the sun rose, Dr. Pappas did a roll call as the kids board the bus and return to civilization.
- Adult Fear: The adult, Dr. Pappas, was so distracted with his tour and map that he lost the kids, when they decided to go off on their own in a forest far from help is enough to scare parents way more than a pre-historical wasp living in the twenty-first century.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Bugfoot after he grew up, survived out of the other prehistoric mud wasps, and became the most gigantic insect to walk the earth.
- Bubblegloop Swamp: The swampy areas of the forest and the prehistoric swamp in the Bugfoot story.
- Can You Hear Me Now?: The reason why Carla and Melanie separated from the rest of the class was because they were searching for a good cellular phone reception.
- Averted. When the two girls reunited with Creepie, Budge, and Chris-Alice, Melanie says, "It's as though you're standing right next to me." Before she realized that her best friend WAS next to her.
- Crazy Prepared: Chris-Alice's backpack was filled with gadgets and whatnot to defend one's self just in case Bugfoot attacks them: thermal colony eliminator, the ultra-sonic shell/floater, a liquid ring stabilizer, and a normal bug spray.
- Covered in Gunge: The kids fell into a muddy swamp, this resulted with Chris-Alice's high tech equipment and the cellular phones own by the kids all became covered with mud.
- Covered in Mud: The kids mistaken their teacher for Bugfoot since he was covered in mud.
- Dramatic Unmask: When Budge threw water on Bugfoot...It was revealed to be their school teacher, Dr. Pappas, who was searching for them.
- The Lost Woods
- Monster of the Week: Bugfoot
- Phlebotinum Killed the Dinosaurs: When Bugfoot just grew gigantic enough to eat dinosaurs.
- POV Cam: Some scenes are these, whenever Budge (or another character) picks up the camcorder and starts taking footage.
- Pun-Based Title: Based on "The Blair Witch Project."
- Shout Out: The title's name itself is a shout-out.
- The scary footfalls sounds similar to how the tyrannosaurus rex walks.
- Start of Darkness: Chris-Alice then tells the tale of what started out as a tiny prehistoric mud dauber wasp, who eventually became the monstrous Bugfoot.
- The Stinger: During the ride home, the camera pans away from the woodlands, showing that the whole forest was actually Bugfoot.
- Things That Go Bump in the Night: Bugfoot...Turns out to just be Budge and Dr. Pappas.
- Too Dumb To Live: The kids separated from Dr. Pappas and each gone their separate ways into the forest. Averted, when they decided to stay together in a cabin.
- Water Wakeup: Creepie throws a bucket of water on Bugfoot, to find out that it was just Dr. Pappas.
