G.I. Joe: Retaliation/YMMV
- And the Fandom Rejoiced: Wait, is that Bruce Willis? And The Rock?!
- Also, Cobra Commander having his iconic faceplate back. Basically, the whole entire teaser trailer can be summed up as this.
- The fact that it feels more restrained and less flashy than the first film is the main reason anyone is getting hyped up for it.
- Is that Snake-Eyes and Jinx kicking some ninja ass whilst rappelling from the side of a mountain?!
- Snake-Eyes having a new, more ninja-like outfit without the infamous lips.
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: For those of us who enjoy Rooting for the Empire, seeing COBRA banners being unfurled from the roof of the White House is nothing short of amazing.
- The first trailer alone must've been a big sigh of relief for those who loathed the first movie for its rather outlandish leaning.
- Fridge Logic: So COBRA has infiltrated the US government and used it to wipe out the Joes? Smart plan and all except...Why is the original president still alive? If he's dead, then the world will never know that Zartan was impersonating him because there's no original to discover and save!
- Internet Backdraft: Oh boy, the internet practically exploded in rage when the film's delay and 3-D conversion were announced, a petition and a Facebook page have already started over this.
- That said, the backdraft calmed down a little when it emerged that another part of the delay was to add more scenes with Character Development for Duke & Roadblock.
- Ruined FOREVER: The reaction that test audiences had to Duke being killed within in the first 10 minutes, which was one of the reasons for the film undergoing re-shoots to give Duke and Roadblock more screentime with one another.
- Tainted by the Preview: It is directed by the guy who made Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, and most of the cast has been ditched.
- Though with the arrival of the trailer (as noted above), most of the negative emotions soon subsided from the fanbase.
- Then Paramount postpones it by nine months just to add 3D...
