< Equals Three
Equals Three/YMMV
- Acceptable Target: Used as this in comments of several videos, especially in the fandoms of other YouTube channels like Nigahiga and Smosh.
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: The Unofficial Smithers Love Song can also be something of Tear Jerker at the end.
- Ear Worm: "Doin' Your Mom", "Stalkin' Your Mom", hell, many, if not most, of the songs from Your Favorite Martian, for that matter.
- Also, Eduard "Mr. Trololo" Khil... *shudder*
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Kassem G, who filled in for Ray as presenter in two videos, has a couple of fans.
- He even got to be the host, again, in a future episode because people requested it.
- Fandom Rivalry: Quite inevitably with Nigahiga, considering that Ray has surpassed him as the number-one most subscribed channel.
- Fan Dumb: No arguing over that...
- Fridge Brilliance: On average, the number of viral videos he reviews per episode "Equals Three"
- Genius Bonus: On a video review about a cat that walked on two paws, he referenced George Orwell (and an on-screen annotation pointed out "TO THE AUDIENCE: He wrote Animal Farm".) Speaking of, when Ray reviewed a video of a dog watching Family Guy in the BAD KIDS episode, he said "Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy", which is a plot point in the film.
- Hate Dumb: Much more prominent.
- It's Popular, Now It Sucks: Ray has got quite a Hatedom partially because he is the most subscribed channel on YouTube.
- Memetic Mutation: Many of the viral videos Ray's reviewed are memes in themselves.
- Squirrel AIDS.
- Fake and gay.
- Two camels in a tiny car.
- Hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife, hide yo' husband.
- YOU AIN'T GOT NO PANCAKE MIX!
- "Co za asy!" comments started showing up in many Youtube videos, less than 2 days after Ray remarked on it.
- Praising Shows You Don't Watch: The ratio of likes to actual views of Your Favourite Martian is off the charts. We at TV Tropes need to get bigger charts.
- Refuge in Vulgarity: The more recent songs from Your Favorite Martian are falling under this. Topic matter includes violently beating kids for anything slightly annoying, opening a new store dedicated to selling sexy ass cheeks, and stalking your mom. Even compared to earlier edgy songs, there are more harsh lyrics that seem to exist only to be more vulgar.
- Toned down with "Friend Zone" which is probably the most heartfelt once they've done in a while and has relatively little vulgarity.
- Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped: From BAD KIDS - "Don't f*** your kids up. They don't deserve that. Anyway, guys, sorry I had, like, a Bill Cosby moment there. Some things just NEED to be said."
- SANTA HATES POOR KIDS drives a fair point about how poor people cannot enjoy the concept of Santa Claus.
- Tear Jerker: "Friend Zone". Oh God, "Friend Zone".
- "Alien", which depicts an alien being bullied to the brink. Thankfully, he meets a girl alien at the end.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks: While this troper embraced the new animation style (and would even like to see the music videos for some of his favorite songs by Your Favorite Martian be remade in this style), there were several comments on the Whip Yo Children video complaining about how they liked the old animation better.
- Naturally, someone will be dissapointed when Ray isn't the one hosting a new episode. However, The episode with Garfunkel and Oats was just terrible, with a 76 percent dislike rate.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: "We Like Them Girls" basically wastes its Lego setting on a generic rap tune.
