Eddie Cochran/YMMV

• Awesome Music: Plenty, especially songs in which Eddie lets loose with rip-roaring soloing, quite hardcore for music from The Fifties.
• Broken Base: A relatively obscure one, and the base has long since been "reassembled." Towards the end of his career, many die-hard greasers and rockers noticed album covers and photographs featured Cochran in increasingly "pop" attire such as sweaters and colored shirts as opposed to jeans and darker clothes. They didn't like it none.
• Covered Up:
  • "Summertime Blues" has been covered by many artists, perhaps most notably The Who, Alan Jackson, and Blue Cheer (and by extension, Rush who covered their specific version).
  • The Sex Pistols (who consider Cochran a major influence on Punk Rock) famously covered "C'mon Everybody".
• Dead Artists Are Better: Not all that much of this, really.
• Epic Riff: "Summertime Blues" and "C'mon Everybody". The rich, full sound of these riffs were the result of copious overdubbing, a novelty at the time.
• Harsher in Hindsight: "Three Stars", a tribute to the victims of "The Day the Music Died", and how they died so young. Cochran would himself pass away less than a year after its recording, at the age of 22.
• Tear Jerker: "Three Stars", for Eddie and listeners both.
