Wisconsin Senate, District 23

The 23rd District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in western Wisconsin, and is currently composed of parts of Barron, Clark, Chippewa, Dunn, Taylor, Eau Claire, Wood,and Marathon counties. The district area is mostly rural, with the exception of a portion of Eau Claire.[1]

Current elected officials

Kathy Bernier is the senator serving the 23rd district. She was first elected to the senate in 2018, succeeding Terry Moulton. Before serving as a senator, she held an office in the State Assembly from 2011 to 2019.[2][3]

The area of the 23rd Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts:[4]

The district is also located partly within Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Ron Kind, and partly within Wisconsin's 7th congressional district, which is vacant following the resignation of U.S. Representative Sean Duffy.[5]
