Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, Kentucky)

Trinity Christian Academy is a private classical Christian school in Lexington, Kentucky. It is a school that teaches by the classical education method or trivium and is a member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. Trinity Christian Academy was founded in 1988. Besides classical education, it offers an excellent arts program, competitive athletics, and small class sizes. It is operated by Tates Creek Presbyterian Church.

In the 2016–17 school year, there were 384 students in grades pre-K through 12.

The Lower School (pre-K through 6th grades) is located at Tates Creek Presbyterian Church (37.9642°N 84.4818°W / 37.9642; -84.4818). The principal of the Lower School is Vicki White. The Lower School offers extracurricular activities such as drama, chorus, and athletics.

The Upper School (7th through 12th grades) is located at Anchor Baptist Church (37.9798°N 84.5445°W / 37.9798; -84.5445). The principal of the Upper School is Anita Haddock. The Upper School is divided into middle and high schools:

  • The Middle School (grades 7–8) offers extracurricular activities such as drama, specialized musical groups, archery, soccer, basketball, cross-country, baseball, softball, and golf. The boys and girls in 8th grade often play on the junior varsity athletic teams.
  • The High School (grades 9–12) offers extracurricular activities including archery, soccer, baseball, softball, golf, volleyball, cheerleading, cross-country, and basketball. As of 2016, there have been 306 graduates of the high school.
