Providence Christian Academy is a private, classical Christian school in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The school opened in 1997 and has dual accreditation through both the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

History
The idea for a new non-denominational Christian school in Murfreesboro came to Sheila Given in the spring of 1994 while she was participating in a Bible study. She began discussing the idea with community members, which led to a community meeting in August 1996 that attracted more leaders for the future school. First housed in Believers’ Chapel Church, the school opened its doors in August 1997 serving students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
In 1998, the school purchased an equestrian facility and remodeled it to house the school. Seventh and eighth grade classes were added after 2000 and a new building opened in September 2004.
In 2013 Pca, expanded opening a new elementary wing. In 2020 PCA officially has around 650 students, and there is a construction project working on a new high school wing with a 1000 seat gym.
Controversy
Pca has had a long and rich history of unjust firings. The first firing was Coach Micael Couey. Coach Couey was the head basketball coach with a record under .500, and the general public at Pca was very unhappy. The reasons for the firings are unknown to many except for the Principal and his inner circle. Finally in 2019 semester Pca did not the upper school history teacher Brett Doston to come back and teach. Mr.Doston was loved by all his students and his upbeat spirit is in the hearts and minds of every student who Mr.Doston taught. Finally Pca tuition is 10,000 dollars and many parents complain that the tuition is to tuition.

Athletics
Providence Christian Academy fields middle school teams in the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference and high school teams in TSSAA. The girls basketball team won a division 2 AA championship. Providence has had several athletes commit to division one colleges under athletic scholarship. Pca has a new football team.
