Sikar Junction railway station

Sikar Junction railway station is a small railway station in Sikar district, Rajasthan. The station consists of three platforms.[1] Sikar is connected through a broad gauge railway line section to Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Churu. The Sikar - Jaipur section was closed in November 2015,[2] along with the broad gauge line to Jhunjhunu, Rewari and Dehli.

In September 2015, Railway Minister of India Suresh Prabhu flagged two trains to mark the completion of Rs. 260 crore gauge conversion of the 122 kilometres (76 mi) Loharu-Sikar railway line in Rajasthan. Sikar. The Fatehpur Shekhawati line of 50 kilometres (31 mi) was flagged on 21 June 2017.[3]
