The ambassador and his staff work at large in the Embassy of Russia in Minsk.[1] There is a consulate general in Brest.[2] The post of Russian Ambassador to Belarus is currently held by Dmitry Mezentsev, incumbent since 30 April 2019.[3]

History of diplomatic relations

With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus were first established on 25 June 1992.[4]
