It was to be produced by Point Grey Pictures and Skybound Entertainment. Series creator Robert Kirkman was also set to produce the movie, alongside David Alpert and Bryan and Sean Furst.[12]

The series, based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, is set to be showrun by Simon Racioppa who will executive produce alongside Kirkman, David Alpert, and Catherine Winder. Supervising Directors are to include Justin and Chris Copeland. Production companies involved with the series include Skybound.[3][13][14][15]
