Catholic Church in Uganda

The Catholic Church in Uganda is part of the worldwide Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope in Rome. There are an estimated 13.4 million Catholics 39.3% of the total population, estimated at about 34.1 million in 2014.[1][2] There are four ecclesiastical provinces, divided into 19 dioceses and archdioceses:

The Catholic Church celebrates on June 3 the feast of the Uganda Martyrs Saint Charles Lwanga [3] and his companions who died between 1885 and 1887.
