The song is a ballad about the mystique that a city can have from dusk until dawn. She describes it as being a "dream", and that "There's a glow in the air". The English version of this song was called "Nightfall in the city".[1]

The song was performed eleventh on the night, following Austria's Tony Wegas with "Maria Magdalena" and preceding France's Patrick Fiori with "Mama Corsica"). At the close of voting, it had received 60 points, placing 10th in a field of 25.

It was succeeded as Portuguese representative at the 1994 Contest by Sara Tavares with "Chamar a música".
