2020 AFC Champions League knockout stage
The 2020 AFC Champions League knockout stage is scheduled to be played from 26 September to 5 December 2020. A total of 16 teams compete in the knockout stage to decide the champions of the 2020 AFC Champions League.
On 9 July 2020, AFC announced new schedule for 2020 AFC Champions League.[1][2] On 16 July 2020, AFC announced that Qatar would host 2020 AFC Champions League in the West region from the group stage to the semi-finals.[3] On 27 July 2020, AFC confirmed that Malaysia would host two Round of 16 matches involving teams from Group G and H and Quarter-finals as well as Semi-finals of the East Region.[4]
Qualified teams
The winners and runners-up of each of the eight groups in the group stage advance to the round of 16, with both West Region (Groups A–D) and East Region (Groups E–H) having eight qualified teams.

Format
In the knockout stage, the 16 teams play a single-elimination tournament, with the teams split into the two regions until the final. Each tie is played on a single-leg format.
