Kurobe

Kurobe (黒部市 Kurobe-shi) is a city in eastern Toyama prefecture, Japan.

By train

Kurobe has two main train stations. Kurobe Station, in the center of town, is operated by the private Ainokaze Toyama Railway trains offering one-seat service from Toyama. JR's primary services have moved to Kurobe-Unazukionsen Station to the south, served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen. The two stations are connected with a short trip on the Toyama Chihō Railway Main Line (¥310).

By bus

Highway buses from Tokyo depart from the terminal in Shinjuku, and from in Ikebukuro. The trip takes around three and a half hours, and the fare is ¥7500 one-way.
