Wingy Ames was created by Steve Ditko in Beware the Creeper #3, 1968.[1]
Fictional character biography
Wingy Ames was a hood who worked for the crime lord known as Proteus. When the Creeper came after him, he hid out on an island controlled by another of Proteus's henchmen called the Supreme One. The island was a special place for criminals on the run to hide from the law. The Creeper however was able to track Mr. Ames down and ended up fighting the Supreme One to the death.
Powers and abilities
Wingy Ames was a regular man who had no special powers and average fighting skill.
