History
The station was assigned the call letters WPBS on 1987-04-01. On 1987-09-15, the station changed its call sign to the current WMSL.[1] The Station is Licensed to Prince Educational Media, Inc. 2121 Ruth Jackson Road, Bogart, Georgia 30622. Updated phone information - 770-725-8890. The 96.3 and 97.5 translator frequencies are no longer a part of the WMSL operation.
Mission
WMSL has been a source of Christian music for more than 25 years. WMSL remains the only full-time, full service, full power station with Christian programming in the region. The station has served as a broadcast ministry of Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Bogart, Georgia to families here and around the world since signing on in December 1987.
WMSL is licensed as a non-commercial, educational, community supported station, with acknowledgements of businesses and individuals who support the station with prayer and funding. Funds and gifts provided to the station are tax deductible as support to a 501c-3 organization.
The primary goal of WMSL is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ ”
