Vranje shooting
Vranje shooting is a mass shooting that occurred on June 3, 1993 in Vranje, Yugoslavia. Jožef Meneder killed 7 soldiers, wounded 4 and killed himself.[1]

On June 3, 1993, in the «South Moravian Brigade» barracks in Vranje, Jožef Meneder escaped from a detention cell, attacked a security guard and confiscated his weapon. He killed 6 privates, one ensign and wounded 4 more privates. He then shot himself.[1][2][3][4]
Perpetrator
Jožef Meneder (Serbian Cyrillic: Јожеф Менедер) (19) was born in 1974 in Subotica. According to neighbors, he was very aggressive. Acquaintances described it as dark and painful. Before the army he made coffins. His acquaintances said that he was a member of a heavy metal band that performed dead metal, and members of this group held parties at the cemetery. He had an inverted cross tattoo. On his left forearm he had a tattoo with the date of shooting. He belonged to the sect of «Bad faith» which comes from the «Black roses». Satanic symbols, including postcards about «Bad faith», were found in his room in his parents' house. A month before the shooting, a security report said he could do something undesirable.[1][2][3][4]
