History
The railway station was named Tumoulin on 31 July 1911, thought to be an Aboriginal word meaning waterfall. The township of Tumoulin appears on a 1916 survey plan.[1]
Tumoulin Provisional School opened on 4 May 1912. On 1 April 1915 it became Tumoulin State School. It closed on 11 September 1960.[3]
