Timothy Castagne

Timothy Castagne (born 5 December 1995) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays for Italian club Atalanta and the Belgium national team. Mainly a right-back, he can also play on the other side of the pitch.[2]

Career

Castagne is a youth exponent from K.R.C. Genk. He made his Belgian Pro League debut on 14 September 2014 as a starter against Club Brugge.[3]

In July 2017, he joined Serie A club Atalanta Bergamo, after Andrea Conti had left Atalanta for Milan.[4][5] On 22 September 2019, he scored the equalizing goal in the 95th minute against Fiorentina in a 2–2 draw.[6]

International career

Castagne made his Belgium national football team debut on 7 September 2018 in a friendly against Scotland, as a starter.[7]

On 22 March 2019, he provided an assist for Youri Tielemans in a 3–1 win against Russia in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
