The Melrose Hotel is located 5 minutes from Foggy Bottom metro stop and 10 to 15 minutes from the center of Georgetown.[2] It is located near the White House, the Potomac Riverfront, Georgetown, the National Mall, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and George Washington University.[3]

Description

Public areas

The hotel's lobby features marble floors and fluted columns.[1]

The hotel includes one restaurant, Jardenea, which features American-style food throughout the day. The hotel also offers seasonal al fresco dining facilities.[1] The Library Bar features dark-panelled wood,[4] and has outdoor patio space. Both the bar and restaurant are located near the lobby.[2]

The hotel contains an all-day business center, wireless internet[5] and 5,000 square feet (460 m2) of function space. There is also a small gym with a full set of weights and six pieces of cardiovascular equipment but with no natural light.[2][6]

The hotel contains eight floors and 240 French-inspired rooms for guests,[1][7] which were last renovated in 2001.[2] Many rooms range from 400 to 425 square feet (37.2 to 39.5 m2) in size, with 32-inch (810 mm) televisions and safes.[2]

gollark: I mean, it's probably way more complicated, but basically you can't send information faster than light that way.
gollark: Anyway, my knowledge of this is not very detailed, but IIRC quantum entanglement means that if you observe one particle the other one collapses into another state, or something like that, and you don't control which state is picked, so you can't send any data.
gollark: Yes. I think they might strip a bunch of the images, but with *no* media, just text content, it's 15GB.
gollark: You can't use quantum entanglement to actually transmit any data.
gollark: Wikipedia's only 85GB compressed a lot, you could transfer that across easily.
