The Gilded Cage (The Avengers)
The Gilded Cage is the seventh episode of the third series of the 1960s cult British spy-fi television series The Avengers, starring Patrick Macnee and Honor Blackman. It originally aired on ABC on 9 November 1963. The episode was directed by Bill Bain and written by Roger Marshall.[1]

Plot
Steed and Cathy set out to snare criminal mastermind John P. Spagge using a gold bullion robbery as bait.[2] Postal cards and a gas figure prominently.
