Hank Williams III recorded his version of the song, although it was never released in a studio album. It was, however, released in 2012 without Williams' permission by his former label, Curb Records. Williams had become estranged from Curb by this time, and he did not support Curb's decision to release old material without his permission.[3] Instead, Williams encouraged his fans not to buy any of Curb's music.
