The Beast with Two Backs
The Beast with Two Backs is the seventh full-length studio album by British goth rock band Inkubus Sukkubus. It contains 12 original tracks and a cover of 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' by Kylie Minogue with altered lyrics that more appropriately reflect the band's aesthetics. The cover was designed by Tony McKormack, a core member of the band.

The album's title refers to a metaphor for sexual intercourse: 'To make the beast with two backs'. While the first recorded English usage of the term was in 1603, by Shakespeare in Othello ("I am one, sir, that comes to tell you your daughter and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs"), the French version of the phrase, la bête à deux dos, dates back to at least 1532, in François Rabelais' Gargantua and Pantagruel:[1]
"In the vigour of his age he married Gargamelle, daughter to the King of the Parpaillons, a jolly pug, and well-mouthed wench. These two did oftentimes do the two-backed beast together, joyfully rubbing and frotting their bacon 'gainst one another, in so far, that at last she became great with child of a fair son, and went with him unto the eleventh month..."
