Tennyson railway station
Tennyson Station is a disused railway station on the Corinda–Yeerongpilly line of Brisbane, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network.

Prior to the opening of the Merivale Bridge in 1978, through trains ran from South Brisbane to Darra and Ipswich via Tennyson plus a local shuttle service between Yeerongpilly and Corinda calling at Tennyson. After 1978 the line lost some of its importance and most through trains were withdrawn. The shuttle was withdrawn on 1 June 1998 but reinstated soon after, with through services from Corinda to Bowen Hills railway station in the morning and afternoon. The shuttle continued until 25 May 2001 when it was replaced by buses. Services ran from Corinda to Bowen Hills via South Brisbane in peak-hours, the last service was a 6-car Suburban Multiple Unit 220 Series from Bowen Hills to Corinda via South Brisbane. Tennyson is now served only by buses.[1]
Tennyson has a short platform and could only accommodate three cars at a time.
As of April 2014, the station remains completely fenced off, and part of platform 2 has been demolished, leaving only one usable platform, in addition all go card readers, emergency phones, pay phones, CCTV cameras, and all shelters have been removed from the station. [2]
