Syrian Civil War
After falling to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, it was retaken by Kurdish YPG forces and the Syriac Military Council (MFS) on February 27, 2015.[3][4]
As a consequence of the 2019 Turkish offensive into north-eastern Syria, SDF invited the Syrian Arab Army into the areas under its rule. The Syrian flag was raised in the center of the town.[5]
