Internal selection
SF DRS opened a submission period for interested artists and songwriters to submit their entries until 14 October 2005. Composers and artists of any nationality were able to submit songs; however, only artists that have had television and stage experience (live performances), have made at least one video and have released at least one CD which placed in an official chart were eligible.[1] A jury panel composed of members from the three Swiss broadcasters SF DRS, TSR and RSI evaluated the entry submissions received and selected the winner. On 9 November 2005, Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger were announced as the composers of the Swiss entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.[2] Performer auditions took place between 25 and 27 November 2005 at the Olympia Studios in Munich where a jury panel which included Siegel selected six artists from six different countries, and the group six4one was created for the purpose of representing Switzerland at the 2006 contest.[3]
