Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006
Armenia’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 was chosen by their broadcaster, ARMTV, who decided that the popular singer André would represent the country with the song "Without Your Love". The song was written by Armen Martirosyan and arranged by Ara Torosyan.

André was born in the city of Stepanakert, in Nagorno-Karabakh. André attended formal music lessons from the age of 6 when he took up piano classes at the Komitas School of Music in Stepanakert. After studying for three years André wrote his first song "Prayer". André has participated in the festivals Voice of Asia, Golden Skif, Shanghai festival, and Championship of Performing Arts. He has twice been awarded the title of Armenian singer of the year.
At Eurovision
In the Semi-final he performed first, following Bulgaria, Armenia qualified to the final, placing 6th in the semi-final and scoring 150 points. In the final, He performed 24th (last), following Turkey placed 8th with 129 points. Meaning that Armenia automatically qualified for the final in the 2007 contest.
