Stone Gon'

Stone Gon' is the second studio album by American R&B singer Barry White, released in 1973 on the 20th Century label. The album was arranged by Barry White and Gene Page.

History

The album topped the R&B albums chart, his second to do so. It also reached #20 on the Billboard 200 and #18 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was a success, yielding two Billboard R&B Top Ten singles, "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" and "Honey Please, Can't Ya See". Both were also successful on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #7 and #44 respectively. "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" was also a hit on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #14. The album was digitally remastered and reissued on CD on May 3, 1994 by Island/Mercury Records.

The album cover's rainbow border would be mimicked on Richard Pryor's 1974 album cover for That Nigger's Crazy.

gollark: I expected to basically just use it for portably accessing stuff at home, but it turns out that most of my workloads run fine on this and my desktop's GPU was (still is, but I replaced it with a much worse one so I could use it workingly as a server) a bit broken so I use it for most stuff now.
gollark: The main issue is that I did not buy enough RAM for it, and the screen is bad.
gollark: That's an infinity percent return on investment.
gollark: It was refurbished and has a 7th gen processor. I got it for £140 and spent another £30 on an SSD and RAM.
gollark: Barrel jack power input, Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, USB-A and -C, a headphone jack, an SD card reader I can't use under Linux, a fingerprint sensor with the same problem, and a "smart card" reader which I have no use for.
