Steven Landek

Steven M. Landek (born December 23, 1955) is a member of the Illinois Senate representing the 12th district since his appointment in 2011.[1] The 12th district includes all or parts of Bridgeview, Burbank, Bedford Park, McCook, Brookfield, Riverside, Berwyn, and Cicero.[2] Prior to the 2011 redistricting he represented the 11th district. He is currently the Mayor of Bridgeview[3] and the Lyons Township Democratic Committeeman.[4]

As mayor, Landek oversaw the construction of Toyota Park, the home of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and the Chicago Red Stars.

State Senator

In the Senate, Senator Landek currently serves as Vice-Chairpeson of the Human Services Committee and is assigned to Appropriations II, Commerce, Revenue and Local Government. In his capacity as a State Senator, Landek is a member of the Tourism Coordinating Committee which is tasked with the promotion and development of tourism activities throughout state government.[5][6]
