John Curran (Illinois politician)

John Curran is a Republican member of the Illinois Senate. He took office in July 2017 after accepting an appointment to replace Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno who resigned July 1, 2017. He represents the 41st district which includes all or parts of Lemont, Indian Head Park, LaGrange Western Springs, Homer Glen, Burr Ridge, Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Willowbrook, Woodridge, Naperville, and Bolingbrook.[1]

Prior to his appointment, he served as a Woodridge Village Trustee and member of the DuPage County Board, where he served as Vice Chair. Curran received his bachelors from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law. Professionally, he serves as Chief of the Special Litigation Division for the Cook County State's Attorney.[2][3][4]
