Sterling, Washington
Sterling is an unincorporated community in Skagit County, in the U.S. state of Washington.[1]
History
Sterling was laid out in 1878.[2] A post office called Sterling was established in 1879, and remained in operation until 1890.[3]

Although I guess that also applies to independent learning and stuff, and the solution is probably to structure stuff such that it arises easily instead of trying to manually teach it.
