Stepan Ryabchenko (born October 17, 1987) is a Ukrainian new media artist.[1]

Biography
Stepan Ryabchenko was born on October 17, 1987, in Odessa in a family of artists. His father, Vasiliy Ryabchenko, is one of the key figures in contemporary Ukrainian art, and the New Ukrainian Wave[2]; Stepan’s grandfather, Sergey Ryabchenko, was a Soviet and Ukrainian graphic artist[3][4].
He graduated from the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2011 with a master's degree in Architecture[5].

Stepan Ryabchenko uses digital tools to create art,[6] in both still and computer-animated forms,[7] including imaginary plants, animals, and virtual landscapes.[8] In other works, Ryabchenko draws his conception of computer viruses,[9] [10] or visualizes his interpretation of mankind's relationship with his virtual and natural environment.[11]
Exhibitions
Stepan Ryabchenko's works have been exhibited at the Ludwig Museum in Budapest[12][13], Saatchi Gallery in London[14], Krolikarnia in Warsaw[15], Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb[16] and Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum in Bratislava[17], Manege and Gostiny Dvor in Moscow[18] as well as PinchukArtCentre, Mystetskyi Arsenal[19][20], National Art Museum, Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art[21][22], National Cultural Center "Ukrainian House"[23], M17 Contemporary Art Center[24], Museum of Odessa Modern Art, Modern Art Research Institute[25].
Collections
Ryabchenko's work is included in the Art Collection Telekom,[26] the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, M17 Contemporary Art Center,[27] and the Odessa Fine Art Museum.[28][29][30]
Awards
- 2019 – winner of sculpture competition for the Odesa International Airport.[31][32]
- 2012 – winner of "Special Prize" at the Kyiv Sculpture Project[33]
- 2010 – winner of the Art-Act, the 1st All-Ukrainian Triennial of Abstract Art[34]
