Large areas of Starcke are protected areas being within the Cape Melville National Park, Muundhi (Jack River) National Park,[4] Biniirr National Park,[5] Juunju Daarrba Nhirrpan National Park,[6] and Daarrba National Park.[7][8]

History

The locality was named after the Starcke cattle property.[1]
