South Hingham Camp

South Hingham Camp is a former infantry battalion coastal defense base camp that existed from between May 1942 and November 1943 in South Hingham, Massachusetts. It was headquarters of the 3rd Battalion and companies I and M of the 181st Infantry Regiment, as well as "B" Company of the 132nd Combat Engineer Battalion, part of the forces of the Eastern Defense Command for defending the United States.[1]
