gollark: I don't really know much about Windows nowadays, does it still have a """safe mode""" you can try?
gollark: What do you actually mean by "freezing"? Does it stay on the PIN entry screen and not accept any input, change slightly but still ignore input, ominously go to a black screen, etc?
gollark: So what's it doing specifically, and at what stage of the login process?
gollark: I see.
gollark: Did you actually fully reboot it or just put it into sleep mode and wake it up again? It's often hard to tell on newer computers or laptops.
