Overview

The album, originally titled None More Negative and released in 1990 under the group's former name Repulsion,[6] launched the band's career. The album has a rawness that was prominent in Peter Steele's previous band, Carnivore, but it incorporates elements that became standard for Type O Negative, merging styles including doom metal, gothic rock, new wave and industrial music. Slow, Deep and Hard is a semi-autobiographical album with heavy amounts of black humor, based on a failed relationship in which the vocalist/bass guitarist Peter Steele was involved. In keeping with the band's notable humor, the album's cover artwork is a blurred image of sexual penetration.[7]

Roadrunner Records released a remastered version of Slow, Deep and Hard on March 24, 2009.[8]

gollark: Which means that the government(s) can read *most* messages, and go "well, you're using [secure encrypted messaging thing], which obviously makes you a terrorist or something".
gollark: It's not possible to actually ban E2E, so I assume the intention is just to backdoor all the popular consumer stuff.
gollark: Any well-designed thing will provide forward secrecy, so they won't have that unless they deliberately log things, which is entirely possible.
gollark: And here. It's quite bad.
