Subdivision

History

The subdivision was created in March 2014. It is composed of Simaria Block, Tandwa Block, Lawalong (community development block), Pathalgada Block and Gidhour Block.[1]

Geography

Simaria Kalan is located at 24°03′43″N 84°56′10″E. It has an average elevation of 537 metres (1,762 ft).[2]

Economy

NTPC Limited is constructing the 3 X 660 MW North Karanpura Thermal Power Station at Tandwa at an appraised current (2015) estimated cost of Rs 14,366.58 crore.[3]
