Santhana Bharathi

Santhana Bharathi is an Indian film actor and director born in Chennai, India. Starting his career in 1975, he started working with director C. V. Sridhar as an assistant and directed his first film Panneer Pushpangal in 1981. His other successful films include Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu (1987), Guna (1991) and Mahanadhi (1994). The Mahanadi film won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Apart from directing, he had also acted in films and TV serials. He has acted in around 25 films and television serials so far. [1][2][3]

Career

Santhana Bharathi is the son of Producer Actor M. R. Santhanam, while his brother R. S. Shivaji, is also an actor. Santhana Bharathi started his film career as a director and then switched to acting. He is now a full-time actor. Both as director and actor he made a mark for himself.
