SWAT: Global Strike Team received "average" reviews on both platforms according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.[17][18] In Japan, where the Xbox version was ported and published by Microsoft on 16 December 2004, Famitsu gave it a score of all four sevens for a total of 28 out of 40.[5]
