The film was a co-production between a Spanish company and the German studio Bavaria Film. The Argentine actress Imperio Argentina was cast after winning a competition staged by the film's producers.[1] The film was based on a novel by Pedro Mata. Art direction was by Ludwig Reiber.
On its release the film was attacked by Spanish critics who felt that the Spanish actors had been relegated to lesser roles.[1]

gollark: In PotatOS? Nope, the client code is all there, the server doesn't dynamically send extra ones.
gollark: The code for it is in potatOS somewhere.
gollark: It's what SPUDNET does, and it has very reliable autoreconnection now.
gollark: So the server could disconnect you automatically, but the client couldn't.
gollark: I could have the server send pings, but I don't think the client Lua code can see them and if it's disconnected then the client Java code won't know it's meant to respond ~~with~~ to one.
