Raymond Foster (priest)
Raymond Samuel Foster (1920-1987)[1] was a Welsh Anglican priest in the 20th century who rose to become Archdeacon of Wrexham.
Foster was educated at King's College London. He was ordained Deacon in 1943; and Priest in 1944. After curacies in Old Basford and Newark he was a Lecturer in Lincoln Theological College. After that he held incumbencies at Elston, Sibthorpe, St Winifred's Church, Kingston on Soar[2] and Whittlebury. He was Warden of St John's College, Auckland from 1962 to 1972; and then of St Deiniol's Library, Hawarden from 1973 to 1977. He was Rector of Wrexham from 1977 to 1987.[3]
