Rafael Macedo Ferreyra
Rafael Macedo Ferreyra (c.1770-1842) was an Argentine lawyer and politician,[1] who served as Auditor de Marina and Asesor of the Comandancia de Matrículas of the Río de la Plata.[2]

Biography
He was born in Buenos Aires, son of a family of Portuguese origin. His wife, Lorenza Sosa Rabelo also belonged to a family of Portuguese ancestors. His son, José Manuel Ferreyra, born in 1815, was godson of Francisco Belgrano, alcalde of second vote of Buenos Aires.[3]
Ferreyra completed elementary education in Real Colegio de San Carlos, and received his law degree in 1804,[4] acting as a Defender of Minors in the city.[5]
He had an active participation in the conflicts between Unitarians and Federales, being assassinated by the Sociedad Popular Restauradora in 1842.[6]
