History

In July 1919 the Armenian population of the village was massacred by armed ethnic Azeri and Kurdish irregulars and Azerbaijani soldiers. From 600 to 700 ethnic Armenians, including women and children, were murdered. Qeybalı and nearby Armenian villages, Jamillu, Karkujahan and Pahliul were looted and burnt.[1][2]
