Divisions of Maharashtra
Dynasticism is fairly common in many political parties in India, including in Maharashtra.[1] A number of politicians (mainly from Congress and its off-shoots such as the NCP & Other parties) followed the example set by the Nehru–Gandhi family in promoting their own family members. One such example is that of the family of Shankarrao Chavan.[2]
