Origin

Poctol was once a widely forested place. According to a legend, there was once a little stream in the area. The natives called it Putol na sapa, for the mere reason that they cannot locate where it starts and where it ends. There are many fish in it. During sunny days, the stream gets dry, and the fish and plants in it disappear. But during rainy days, the fish and plants reappear in the stream.
