Plymouth is an unincorporated community in Lyon County, Kansas, United States.

History

Plymouth was laid out in 1858.[1] The first school class was taught in 1862, the first school house was built in 1864. The present old school house was built in 1882.[2][3]

Plymouth was a station and shipping point on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.[4]

A post office was opened in Plymouth in 1858, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1930.[5]

Education

The community is served by Emporia USD 253 public school district.

gollark: If you can get decent-looking stuff with a few iterations of prompt tweaking you're probably not going to pay another person to do it for you.
gollark: If they want art because it looks nice or they need to advertise something, say, then they'll care less about it being "real art" by humans.
gollark: If people care about art as a status signal or art for some philosophical reason they might want it to be human-made.
